I am batch 7 SEA Exchange Student-Teacher from St. Paul University Surigao, Surigao City, Philippines and my host university is Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) Yogyakarta, Indonesia. My practicum school is SD Muhammadiyah Pakem, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. I am so grateful and lucky to have this kind of opportunity to experience teaching and exploring in the foreign country. I’ve learned a lot of things during my internship like the different pedagogies, the application of more interactive teaching strategies & methods, their teaching styles, lesson plan format, culture, tradition, religion and most especially I’ve learned how to interact and deal with the Indonesian people using the basic Bahasa Indonesia, English language, hand gestures and smile on my face.
